Asiedu Nketia exposes Solomon Nkansah over suspected gun attack at Suhum road

General Secretary of NDC Johnson Asiedu Nketia has exposed the party’s Communication Director Solomon Nkansah’s claim suspected mask men who attacked him were militants from the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Mr. Nketia was said to have been ambushed by unknown persons on his way to Accra from the Brong Ahafo Region on the Suhum road in the Eastern Region, where the armed men smashed his car before speeding off.

He has since reported the incident to the police and he is confident the investigation team will do a good job, though he was unable to give timeline. He said he has firm faith in the police for the outcome.

But in a statement issued in solidarity with him by the party, Mr. Nkansah said the attack on the party’s scribe is indicative of the lawlessness that has engulfed this country since the NPP took office in January this year.

According to him, the government and for that matter the NPP should call into order its militant groups who continue to unleash mayhem on ordinary citizens. The statement cited the alleged attack on a security operative at the Flagstaff house which, according to them, is yet to be investigated by the party.

But Mr. Nketia denied any knowledge the attack was instigated by suspected NPP party militants. He said he was unable to affirm details of the statement, and told Accra based Joy FM to direct their questions to the one who signed the statement.
