Asiakwa Methodist Church initiates project

Akim-Asiakwa (E/R), March 12, GNA – The Akim Asiakwa branch of the Methodist Church, near Kibi in the East Akim district is constructing a six-unit classroom block for the kindergarten and the lower primary school.

The project is being funded through special fund raising activities, including voluntary contributions and a levy of 50,000 cedis a man and 30,000 cedis a woman.

Madam Felicia Agyarkwa, a member of the project committee, who briefed the Ghana News Agency on Friday, said the project was to enable the growing number of children in the area to access formal education in line with government’s efforts to provide quality education for the pupils.

She appealed to the people to send their children to the school.
