Ashimolowo: Otabil is a great African icon

Renowned Nigerian Charismatic Pastor, Mathew Ashimolowo, has described fellow Pastor, Dr. Mensa Otabil as an African icon of great character and values.

The senior pastor of Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC) in London told a congregation at the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) headquartered in Accra, Ghana that Pastor Mensa Otabil is one of the few great African voices in the Christian fraternity who can hold his own anywhere in the world.

Pastor Ashimolowo praised Dr. Otabil, who is the General Overseer of ICGC, as an inspirational and respected voice on the African Continent and the world over.

“Hitler was a leader but he had no values; Osama Bin Laden was a Leader but he had no values; Muammar Gaddafi was a leader but he had no values but I have a leader here today [Dr. Mensa Otabil] who has great values, great character, great ethics and great testimony,” Pastor Ashimolowo praised.

Mathew Ashimolowo gave the acclaim when he spoke at ICGC’s ‘Greater Works 2013’ conference on Monday and Tuesday in Accra.

Pastor Ashimolowo who converted to Christianity from Islam at the age of 22 after the death of his father said: “There is no platform, there is no nation, there is no Parliament where God has made him [Dr. Mensa Otabil] not to be able to enter”.
