Ashanti Regional Minister to contest NDC parliamentary primary

Nyinahin (Ash), Sept 7, GNA – Dr Kwaku Agyemang-Mensah, Ashanti Regional Minister, on Wednesday picked his nomination form to contest the Atwima-Mponua parliamentary seat on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

is his second attempt at to represent the people in the constituency in Parliament after he contested and lost the seat in the 2000 General Election.

Mr Agyemang-Mensah, who was addressing NDC supporters at Nyinahin, called on supporters to remain loyal to the party and work hard to wrest the seat from the New Patriotic Party and to retain the NDC in power. He advised NDC supporters to undertake a house-to-house campaign to win more votes for the party.

Mr Agyemang-Mensah cautioned Ghanaians against politics of insults and appealed to them to go about their political activities decently.

Mr Ali Yeboah, and Stephen Yeboah, who had earlier picked nomination forms, said they were stepped down for the Regional Minister.
