Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Simon Osei Mensah, stormed the premises of House of Bethel Ministry at Anwomaso in Kumasi of the Asanti Regional, with armed policemen to arrest the head pastor of the church.
According to Kwabena Frimpong Manso of Atinka Media Village, the action came after the Minister had complained on several occasion about the fact that, the pastor’s WATCH NIGHT service is preventing him from sleeping, hence the arrest.
The head pastor, Rev Kwame Takyi was arrested at about 12:50am and has since been put behind bars at the TECH police station assisting the police with investigations.
The Watch Night service was halted abruptly as a result of the arrest, and the church members as at 6:12am on Saturday have been left stranded at the Tech Police Station demanding the immediate of their pastor.
