Ashanti Regional Minister condemns child neglect

Kumasi, Oct 25, GNA- Mr. Sampson Kwaku Boafo, the Ashanti Regional Minister, has called for concerted efforts to tackle problems that led to child neglect.

Speaking at a clean-up exercise undertaken by the Beautiful Ladies Fan Club, a benevolent society at the Kumasi Children’s Home, the Regional Minister, who is the patron of the Club, entreated especially parents to find ways of taking proper care of their children.

“No matter the circumstances in which you find yourself, you should not run away and leave your children or abandon them to their fate, as if their being in this world was their own making.”

Miss Mabel Boamah, Assistant Superintendent of the Home, thanked the Club for the exercise and a donation of food items to the inmates. 25 Oct.04
