Asawasi MP supports schools in his constituency

Alhaji Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak, Member of Parliament (MP) for Asawasi, has presented large quantity of educational items in support of some basic schools in his constituency.

The items include 50 desktop and 25 laptop computers, 1,000 dual desks, 2,000 pairs of footwear and 512 school uniforms.

They would be distributed to selected schools in the Asawasi, Asokore-Mampong, Adukrom and Aboabo circuits of the newly-created Asokore-Mampong Municipality.

This was made possible through the joint support of the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications and Bright Generation Community Foundation, a local NGO.

The MP asked the people to create the right conditions in schools to enhance teaching and learning.

Mrs Kate Agyemang-Badu, Municipal Educational Director, said the items would bring tremendous relief to the pupils, teachers and parents.

Mr Nuru Hamidan, Municipal Chief Executive, called for fairness and transparency in the distribution of the items.
