Accra, March 11, GNA – The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu the Second and Asanteman are tol celebrate the Akwasidae Kese Festival on Sunday, May nine, this year.
This year’s festival coincides with the fifth anniversary of the enstoolment of the Otumfuo.
A statement issued in Accra on Thursday said activities lined up for the event would include a two-week exhibition, golf tournament, and fund-raising soccer match between two top teams.
There would also be an awards dinner night and a number cultural activities, the statement said.
According to the statement, a mini durbar to climax activities marking the festival would be held on Monday, March 15, 2004. The last Akwasidae Kese festival was celebrated in 1991.
