Mampong (Ash), March 26, GNA – The Asante-Mampong branch of the Assemblies of God Church on Saturday undertook a clean-up exercise at the Mampong District Hospital as part of activities marking the 75th anniversary of the church.
The over 100 members swept and weeded the compound of the hospital and scrubbed the wards.
Addressing the members after the exercise Dr Emmanuel Ahiable, the Medical Superintendent of the hospital, said it was incumbent on all sectors of the society to collaborate with health workers to ensure high quality health care delivery.
He expressed appreciation to the church for undertaking exercise. Dr Ahiable said the hospital was finding innovative ways including training of staff to improve upon service delivery. Pastor Justice Osei Boamah, minister in-charge of the church, said the clean-up exercise was in appreciation of the good work of the staff of the hospital towards health care delivery in the area. He said the nationwide 75th anniversary celebration of the church is under the theme, “Declare His Goodness”
