Asante Kotoko have confirmed the permanent transfer of forward Albert Amoah to Libyan Premier League side Al Ahly Benghazi.
The club announced the move in an official statement on their Facebook page, expressing gratitude to the player for his contributions during his time with the Porcupine Warriors.
“We can confirm the permanent transfer of forward Albert Amoah to Libyan side Al Ahly Benghazi,” the statement read.
“Asante Kotoko is grateful to Albert for his services to the club and his achievements with us. We wish him the very best for the future.”
Amoah’s move marks a new chapter in his career after an impressive spell in Kumasi, where he established himself as one of Kotoko’s promising attacking talents.
The 24-year-old’s performances in the Ghana Premier League caught the attention of several clubs across Africa, with Benghazi ultimately securing his signature.
His departure comes as Kotoko prepare to refocus on their domestic campaign following their CAF Confederation Cup exit at the hands of Wydad Casablanca.
Amoah joins a growing list of Ghanaian players making moves to North Africa, as he looks to continue his development and make an impact in the Libyan top flight.
