Asante Kotoko Association donates to MCHH

Kumasi, Nov. 11, GNA – The Asante Kotoko Association of Washington in the United States of America (USA), has donated some hospital equipment worth about GH¢5,000 to the Maternal and Child Health Hospital (MCHH) in Kumasi.

The items included three pieces of oxygen flow meter, vacuum extractor, a piece of suction machine, ten pieces of doctors’ goggles among other things.

Donating the items, Mr Osei Kwame Addai, Country Representative of the Association, pointed out that the presentation was in fulfilment of a promise made to the hospital following a visit to the place by officials of the Association last year.

He urged Ghanaians to adhere to the principles of family planning so that they could take good care of their children. Dr Mrs Annie Opoku, Medical Superintendent in charge of the MCHH, thanked the donors for the gesture saying there was the need for corporate bodies and philanthropists to support government in re-sourcing health facilities in the country for efficient health delivery.
