Asante Association Fundraising Event

THE BIGGEST FUNDRAISING EVENT EVER

The Asante Association of Washington D.C., the premiere association in the Washington Metropolitan Area is celebrating its third year since its inception with a big fundraising Gala Event at the Washington Times Ballroom on June 11, 2005.This Fundraising drive is the kind of effort in which all Ghanaians irrespective of tribal affiliation can be proud to have had a part. We have identified an area of need in the school system where we believe we can have the most impact.

We want to sponsor 200 SSS school students of need throughout their school program to ensure their graduation and enrollment to the various colleges/ universities in the nation. With your support, our goal of raising $10,000 USD will be realized. We commit to publishing the list of students awarded this financial support and their progress.

We will serve light finger foods throughout the night. Entertainment will be provided by the famous Vijay Soundz of Virginia. There will be other side attractions like a raffle ticket to Ghana and a cultural show, along with a few major corporate sponsors.

As always we have a whopping big budget of $40 per person. We encourage you to attend this event with your friends to have fun and champion a worthy cause.

Live coverage will be provided by Ghanaweb; The New Ghanaian and The Ghanaian Times. We encourage all readers and sympathizers who are unable to attend to send their tax-deductible contribution to the address below. Without your contributions, many of these children would be on the streets of Accra and other cities.

Your gift–any gift of $15, $30, $60, $100, $500, or more?will be very helpful. It will be an investment in the lives of today?s Ghanaian student and tomorrow?s work force.

Please accept our gratitude for your generosity.
