Asafoatse of Fise calls for unity to ensure development

Amasaman (G/AR), Feb. 16, GNA-Nii Asafoatse Lartei Mingle, Asafoatse of Fise near Amasaman in the Ga West Municipality, has called on residents of the area to bury their differences and work together as a team to ensure the development of the community. He said the situation where members of some communities were at each other’s throat does not augur well for the smooth initiating of developmental projects.

Nii Mingle who made the call in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Fise on Tuesday said with unity, the community could initiates development projects such as the provision of potable water, streetlights, schools, public places of convenience, a clinic and a police station. He urged the Ga West Municipal Assembly to assist the community with the provision of social amenities and also to assist them to fight crime. The Asafoatse urged the youth in the country to desist from indulging in negative practices which may tend to ruin their future. He commended the political parties for the peaceful election and expressed the hope that election 2012 and subsequent elections in the country would also be peaceful.
