Artisans at Tanokrom Kokompe to be relocated

Artisans at Tanokrom Kokompe would soon be relocated to Kansaworodo near Takoradi, Nana Kwamena Kwadzie, Western Regional Chairman of the Ghana National Association of Garages (GNAG) has said.

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Takoradi on Tuesday, Nana Kwadzie said a South African company had acquired the land that the artisans were operating on at Tanokrom Kokompe to construct a shopping mall.

Nana Kwadzie said the company would develop an acquired land at Kansaworodo into a light industrial area to facilitate the relocation of the artisans.

He said the company would also extend electricity and water to the area and construct toilet facilities.

Nana Kwadzie said individuals who had built workshops at Tanokrom Kokompe would be compensated by the company.
