Articulated truck kills two and injured four

Kuffour Camp (Ash), Jan 20, GNA – Two people were killed when an articulated truck ran into a kiosk at Kuffour Camp in the Atwima-Mponua district on Wednesday.

The truck also destroyed four houses and an electric poles causing black-out in some communities and four people also got injured. The dead were identified as Nuhu Gausu, 40, and Ernestina Banda, 60, while Safiatu Baku, Ama Serwaa, Moro Farouk and Salifu Moro, driver and his mate respectively, who sustained multiple of injuries are on admission at the Bibiani Government Hospital.

According to the police, the vehicle’s tyre got burst and as a result the driver lost control and ran into the kiosk and the houses. The deceased bodies have been deposited at the Bibiani hospital for autopsy.
