Armed Robbers Strike In Broad Daylight

A group of armed robbers on Tuesday afternoon took an amount of 94 million cedis at gunpoint from some officials of the Teshie Nungua branch of Ghana Telecom. Reports say the robbers were in a vehicle, waiting for the officials when they were cashing the money from the bank.

The five robbers allegedly trailed the officials to the premises of the Teshie Nungua branch of Ghana Telecom where they ordered the officials to surrender the money. Reports say the Police Officer detailed to accompany the officials was beaten up by the robbers and had his gun taken away from him.
