Armed robbers strike at Nkwanta

Nkwanta (Ash), Sept 6, GNA- Armed robbers have attacked and ransacked a house at Nkwanta, near Jachie in the Ashanti Region. The three robbers, made away with clothing, a Video Cassette Recorder, a Video Cassette Disc player, Digital Video Disc player, two mobile phones and a cash of 200,000 cedis.

Police Inspector, Thomas Bossman Tuffour, of the Jachie Police, said one Nana Yaw, a victim of the robbery said in a report that the armed robbers attacked the house at dawn last Wednesday. He said the robbers assaulted a 70 year-old woman, Adwoa Anane when her yelling prevented them from raping a young woman in the house. Inspector Tuffour said no arrests had been made.
