Armed Robbers attack OWASS students, 2 sustain injuries

Machete wielding armed robbers invaded the Opoku Ware Senior High School (OWASS) in Kumasi in a dawn robbery attack, inflicting life-threatening injuries on two students.

Speaking to some of the students in the school, it was disclosed that the robbers attacked the school with machetes, weapons and took away their mobile phones, some amount of money, laptops and stabbed the two students in the process.

One of the students who confirmed the incidents to Abusua Dawuro stated that the robbers attacked the school at dawn.

“The armed robbers inflicted wounds on the heads of the two students. They also took away some amount of money, mobile phones and laptops. It also appears that the two students were targeted for the robbery operation,” a student stated.

The victims were sent to First Care Hospital in Kumasi for treatment.

The Authorities in the school have declined to speak on the issue.

However, investigations are ongoing by the Sofoline Police Command to apprehend the robbers.
