Armed Robbers Attack Filling Station

Five heavily armed robbers broke into a filling station at Russia off Dansoman road and bolted away with over ?4.2 million.

Narrating the incident to The Accra Daily Mail, Isaaka Mohammed 33, the owner of the filling station said, at exactly 1:00 am last Wednesday, the armed robbers entered the filling station with a taxi cab, pointed a pistol at his throat and warned him not to speak.

Mohammed said his younger brother Alhassan who was sleeping near the room containing the money woke up to find a knife at his throat.

He said the robbers carrying two sophisticated pistols and knives, blindfolded the two of them and made away over ?4.2 million with coins.

They then headed towards Dansoman.

The robbery was reported to the Dansoman police, but an attempt to get confirmation from the Dansoman Divisional Police Commander proved futile, as he was not at his office as at press time.
