Armed Forces support Osu Children’s Home

Accra, July 21, GNA – The Ghana Armed Forces on Thursday presented a cheque for eight million cedis to support the Osu Children’s Home. The presentation is part of the policy of the Ghana Armed Forces to ensure good civilian/military relations.

Col. Emmanuel W. K. Nibo, Director of the Ghana Armed Forces Public Relations Directorate, said they had also made occasional donations to the Ghana Heart Foundation. Mrs Millicent Nyarko, Assistant Supervisor at the Home, called on other organisations to support the Home, as the number of children had been increasing.

“Currently the Home has 147 children and needs the support of the public to be able to provide them with quality care and comfort,” she said.
