Archbishop Duncan-Williams advocate unity and peace

Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, Founder and General Overseer of the Christian Action Faith Ministries, on Thursday called on Ghanaians to unite and promote peace ahead of Election 2012 .

He said, “We have only one Ghana, and this Ghana should not be divided”.

Archbishop Duncan-Williams made the call when he interacted with journalists at a meeting of the Governing Council of the Dominion University College (DUC) of which he is Chancellor, in Accra.

He said, “true peace means justice and fairness for all. No matter who we are or what we believe in, we must ensure that there is justice and fairness.”

Archbishop Duncan-Williams cautioned the people to be wary of their attitude and utterances regarding national issues.

“A radio discussion once triggered genocide in a country. Let us not trigger violence by our discussions and utterances,” he said.

Archbishop Duncan- Williams said the DUC authorities would work hard to make the institution an excellent place of teaching and learning in the country.

He said the University College would also train students to be disciplined and attain academic laurels to be able to contribute to national development.

Dr. Ekpw Spio-Garbrah, Acting President of DUC, said the University College’s programmes are aimed at producing visionary and well-equipped personnel to solve basic problems confronting society.

The Dominion University College is sponsored by the Christian Action Faith Ministries,

The DUC offers Bachelor of Business Administration-Accounting, Bachelor of Business Administration-Marketing, Bachelor of Business Administration-Banking and Finance among other programmes.

The University College is accredited by the National Accreditation Board, Ghana and affiliated to the University of Cape Coast.**
