Aquinas Old Students set up Endowment Fund

Accra, Oct. 19, GNA – The Accra branch of the Old Students Association of Aquinas Secondary School has set up an Endowment Fund to cater for the poor and needy students of the school. The Branch is also putting up an art gallery where the art produce of the students would be preserved.

Mr James Tchokpa, President of the Association announced these at the end of this year’s ‘Health Walk’ of the Branch in Accra on Saturday. The Walk started from the premises of the school at Cantonments, through Labone Secondary School to Ako Adjei Inter-change through the Military Hospital and back to the school’s premises. The exercise was aimed at socialising with one another, merry-making and also encouraging many more members of the Association and building a healthy association.

Mr Tchokpa said the Association would continue to assist the school in its developmental efforts and called on all past students to take active interest in the activities of the Association. The President appealed to corporate bodies and institutions to assist by contributing towards the success of the Fund to enable the association achieve its aim of developing the School. Mr Tchokpa advised the students to take their studies seriously to enable them achieve academic excellence. About 100 members of the Association took part in the two-hour Walk amidst brass band music. 19 Oct. 08
