Accra, 18 Jan. GNA – Dr Kofi Konadu Apraku, Minister of Regional Cooperation and New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD) on Wednesday expressed optimism that Ghana would go through the peer review process without difficulty since it had prepared adequately for the exercise.
A statement Mr Ahmed Osumanu Halid, Media Relations Officer of the Ministry signed on Wednesday said Dr Apraku stated this when he left Accra for Sudan ahead of a government delegation that would go for the review process.
Ghana would be reviewed in the areas of political, economic, corporate and socio-economic governance.
The President, John Agyekum Kufuor would join the Ghanaian team later to face his colleagues.
Ghana was the first country to accede to the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) in March 2003. Rwanda is the next country to be reviewed.
