Apostolic Church raises funds for building

Akim-Juaso, (E/R), Oct. 27, GNA – Members of the Apostolic Church at Akim- Juaso in the Fanteakwa district, are raising 50 million cedis towards the construction of a church building through self-help. The members realised 3.6 million cedis at a special harvest towards the project started three years ago.

The Project Officer of the Church, Mr. Alfred Adamtey, who announced this after the function at Juaso, said the congregation had so far spent over 15.2 million cedis towards the project, now at the lintel level.

He said other projects planned include a permanent building for the Kindergarten and rehabilitation of the Church’s primary school block. The Pastor in-charge of the Church, Pastor Noah Baah Danquah, asked members of the church to unite to enable them continue to provide facilities for the church.

On the impending election, he urged Christians to pray earnestly for a peaceful, free and fair elections to enable them worship God. Madam Mavis Ayim-Asante, who chaired the function commended the members for their self-help spirit and urged them to initiate more projects to develop the church.
