Apostle Korang asks Ghanaians to revisit the first love

Accra, May 21, GNA – Apostle Justifier Darko Korang of the Apostolic Church-Ghana, on Saturday stressed the need for Ghanaians to revisit the love that unified the church and the nation at large. “Painfully, you have left the first love, which binds us together and we should examine why the love was forgotten “, he added. Apostle Korang, who is the head of the Area ‘B’ of the Church, was speaking in Accra during a Church Service organised especially to appreciate the selfless devotion to duty of Mrs Mary Nana Tagoe, former Leader of the Area’s Women’s Movement.

Mrs Mary Kwaasi, for secretary of the movement succeeded her. Apostle Korang said going back to the first love was an unfinished task that ought to be fulfilled, adding that, Ghanaians should detest tendencies that would breed division.

He urged them to labour for the progress of the nation, as well as the church and press towards the mark of excellence. Highlight of the service was citations from the women’s movement, the clergy and other wings that bore witness to the out-going leader’s love for work, transparency, vision, charity, discipline and humility, to mention but a few.

Responding, Mrs Nana Tagoe, who is also a civil servant in the Auditor-Generals’ Office, said, “once you have accepted the job it is your responsibility to accomplish the goals and expressed her appreciation for the honour done her.

At Winneba, Mrs Margaret Etua, former Agona Swedru Area Womens’ Movement Leader, was also honoured for sterling leadership qualities.
