Apologies to Oppong-Nkrumah over ‘increment in fares unfortunate and unfair’ publication

Rainbowradioonline.com has taken note of a concern raised by the Deputy Minister of Information and Member of Parliament for Ofoase Ayirebi, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah over a story published some few weeks ago.

The story captioned: ”Increment in Transport fares Unfortunate and Unfair” according to the law maker was a misrepresentation of what he said regarding the increment in transport fares.

We wish to apologise for the use of ”Increment In Transport Fares Unfortunate and Unfair.”

We also apologise for any misrepresentation of the MP’s comments. We wish to apologise for any damage the story may have caused the Member of Parliament for Ofoase Ayirebi.

The MP had suggested that the transport operators should have maintained their old prices or wait for a period before increasing the fares following the reduction in some taxes.

According to him, it would have been prudent for operators to maintain their old prices following the new tax regime [tax cuts] which has taken effect.
