Apam Senior High School gets four new projects

Apam (C/R), Feb 17, GNA – Four new projects are to be inaugurated at Apam Senior High School on February 27. The inauguration of the projects would climax the school’s 57th Speech and Prize-giving Day which has the theme: “High Academic Standards With Integrity for National Development”. The projects are walk pavement with an overhead shed to protect teachers and students from rain and excessive sun to and from classes built by the school administration.

The others are 80 seater computer centre which was provided by the school’s Parent-Teacher Association (PTA). The PTA has again constructed a bath house and a box room for the school whilst a renovated bath house for boys by the Apam Secondary School Old Students Association (ASSOSA) would also be inaugurated. Briefing the Ghana News Agency after inspecting the projects, Mr. Archibald Kobina Fuah, Headmaster, was highly impressed with the contributions of ASSOSA under the leadership of Mrs. Charlotte Obeng and the PTA under the Chairmanship of Mr. Kojo Pratt to the development of the school.

The Headmaster said ASSOSA and PTA had demonstrated that delivery of quality education to the Ghanaian child must not be made the responsibility of the government alone. “The two associations have been very supportive to the needs of the school,” he stressed. With their support academic work, sports and discipline have seen vast improvement in the school these days,” he added. 17 Feb 10
