Apam Secondary School emerge Inter-Schools champions

Winneba (C/R) Mar. 13, GNA – Apam Secondary School bagged 257 points to lift the ‘Zone 4’ championship trophy of the annual Inter Schools and Colleges Athletics competition at Winneba on Friday. Potsin Ahmadiyya Secondary School placed second with 137 points followed by Ajumako Bisease Secondary Technical at third position with 104 points and Senya Bereku Secondary fourth with 102 points. Winneba Secondary School took the fifth position with 95 points with Mando and Andakwaman Secondary Schools taking the sixth position with 78 points each.

12 schools took part in the two-day competition, during which Apam Charity International School was adjudged the best-behaved school and presented with a shield donated by Mrs Esther Hamilton, former chairperson for the zone. Mr Alex Amponfi-Duku, Chairman of the Zone commended the athletes and students for comporting themselves and advised those selected to represent the Region at the national competition to train harder. Certificates and prizes were presented to outstanding athletes.
