Apam (C/R), Jan. 4, GNA – Captain Holidays of the Plumstead branch of the Salvation Army Church in London has donated a motorbike worth 260 pounds to Captain Samuel Atuahene of the Apam branch of the Church. Mr Titus Arko of the Mamprobi branch made the presentation on New Year’s Day on behalf of his senior brother, Samuel Arko who solicited for the assistance.
Mr Arko said the motorbike was to promote evangelisation in the area and appealed to the leadership of the Church to use it to win more souls for Christ.
Captain Atuahene thanked the Arko brothers for making the donation possible and assured them that the bike would be used judiciously to make it last longer. He commended Captain Holidays for the gestures and invited him to visit the Church at Apam to enable them to establish a sister church relationship.
Earlier in a sermon, Captain Atuahene appealed to Ghanaians to enter the New Year with dedication to work harder for national development. He said things we did last year, which retarded the progress of the nation should be done away with in the New Year. 04 Jan. 06
