Anthrax outbreak: Cattle movement ban still in place

The ban on the movement of cattle in the Bawku West district will not be lifted until the vaccination exercise is over.

The vaccination began following an outbreak of the anthrax disease.

Four people have died and about thirty cattle also killed.

Anaba Adam Morro, the District Chief Executive for Bawku West told XYZ News that the ban will still be in place until the vaccination is complete.
