Anthony Karbo’s dream dashed

Former NPP National Youth Organiser’s dream of representing the people of Lawra in the Upper West Region, failed to materialize as he lost his bid to the NDC’s candidate, Joseph Dabuo, who is also District Chief Executive for the area.

Anthony Karbo relinquished his post to contest the seat, which is one of the 45 newly created constituencies.

Mr. Dabuo polled 12,735 to beat Mr. Karbo who secured 6,538 according to the provisional results.

In the Presidential election, President Mahama polled 13,739 while the NPP’s Nana Akufo-Addo recorded 5,538.
