Ansa-Asare Case: C’ttee postpones sittings

Accra, Oct. 13, GNA – The Akamba Committee investigating allegations of corruption and abuse of office against Mr Kwaku Ansa-Asare, Director of the Ghana School of Law, has postponed its sittings to Tuesday October 18.

This is to enable two members to fully recover from their illnesses. A member of the committee told journalists that sittings for next week were expected to run through Friday.

Set up by the Minister of Justice and Attorney-General, Mr Ayikoi Otoo the Committee, chaired by Mr Justice Bawa Akamba went on a brief recess in the latter part of September when it was sued by Mr Ansa-Asare.

Mr Ansa-Asare withdrew the suit when he was assured that he would have fair hearing at the committee.
