Ankaful crisis: Protesting nurses hold crunch meeting with health minister today

Striking nurses at the Ankaful Psychiatric hospital will meet Health minister, Dr Kweku Agyemang Manu today, Tuesday, November 28 over their demand for the removal of their medical director.

Nurses at the hospital have been on strike demanding that their medical director, Eugene Dordoye, be removed for mismanagement and lack of respect for staff

According to the nurses, the meeting with the minister follows an earlier disagreement over a roadmap to address their demands.

Speaking to Starr News, spokesperson of the agitating nurses, Emmanuel Ofori, said they are going for the meeting with an open mind hoping that their strike action will end with the removal of their medical director.

“We are meeting the Minister with an open mind and whatever the outcome of the meeting, we will decide our next line of action but we are hopeful that the Minister will heed to our demand and have the Medical Director removed”.
