Angry Atiwa youth reject newly appointed DCE

The appointment of a district chief executive by the president has sparked rage by some irate youth groups in the Atiwa district.

The group, largely made of young residents say they can not relate with the DCE considering the fact of him not hailing from the Western Region.

Leader of the youth group called “Concerned youth of Atiwa East,” Samuel Mireku is thus blaming government for appointing their cronies for government positions.

The outburst by the youth group follows similar rejection of a DCE in Kumasi which is feared to have turned bloody as angry residents chased the appointee out of his office.
