Koforidua, July 30, GNA-The first session of the 10th Synod of the Koforidua Diocese of the Anglican Church aimed at setting the agenda for the next decade of the church begins in Koforidua on August 5.

The synod to be attended by 100 delegates including the clergy and lay members from all the parishes of the church in the diocese would be organized under the theme “Telling the story is a collaborative effort”

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency, the Right Rev. Francis Benjamin Quashie, the Bishop of the Diocese, said the aim of the synod was to remind members of the church to realize that the work of the church requires the efforts of all members.

He said the synod would re-energize the various guilds and associations in the church to be active.

The Rt. Rev. Quashie said the synod would also be aiming at looking of ways of making the diocese self reliant and resourceful enough to fulfil all the developmental agenda that it would set for itself.
