Anglican church raises 5.3 million cedis

Akim Osino,(E/R), Dec. 26, GNA – Members of the Osino Anglican Church in the Fanteakwa District have raised 5.3 million cedis in aid of a day care centre estimated at 12 million cedis. The Catechist in-charge, Mr Kwasi Obeng, who disclosed to the Ghana News Agency at Akim Osino on Thursday, said the other project planned by the Church include the construction of six-unit classroom block for its primary school.

He said the projects are being funded through their annual harvests, a levy of 30,000 cedis a man and 20,000 cedis a woman. The Senior Presbyter, Mr Jonas Ampeaw, appealed to the members of the Church living outside the community to support the on-going works.
