Anglican Church elects Bishop for Cape Coast

Cape Coast Diocese of the Anglican Church of Ghana at its fifth Diocesan Synod in Winneba, elected Very Reverend Dr. Victor R. Atta-Baffoe, as the Bishop Coadjutor of the Diocese.

Rev.Dr. Atta-Baffoe, who was Dean of Saint Nicholas Seminary in Cape Coast, would take over from Rt. Rev. Daniel Sylvanus Adotei Allotey, who would retire in May next year.

The synod was on the theme: “Being Capable of doing all things through Christ who strengthens us”.

Deacons Stephen Osei Sackey, Michael Emmin-Baisie, Enoch Okine, Ebenezer Eduaful and Obed Kojo Baiden were also ordained priests of the church.

They took the Oath of Canonical obedience before Bishop Allotey and Very Rev. Atta-Bafoe.

Bishop Allotey charged the newly ordained priests to bear fruits to the glory of Jesus Christ and let the Bible be their daily guide.

They were each presented with a Bible and certificate of ordination into the priesthood.
