Andanis Loose Confidence In Attorney-General

A representative of the Andani Family, Dr Gomda has stressed that, they will continue to put pressure on the government, until justice is done to them, in the aftermath of the Dagbon Crisis.

He told Peace fm on Monday that, the Andani clan has already lost confidence in the Attorney-General and Minister of Justice Nana Akufo-Addo, for his interference in the Wuaku Commission, during its investigations into the murder of the King of Dagbon, Ya-Na Yakubu Andani II. Dr Gomda said the Wuaku Commission failed to achieve its purpose, when it shifted attention from investigating the murder of the King of Dagbon, to portraying to the world that, there was a conflict between the Andani and the Yakubu clans.

He noted that, a similar incidence occurred on 9th September 1969, exactly 33 years ago on Monday, in which a king of Dagbon and his elders were murdered. He said a supreme court ruling however settled the issue between the Andanis and the Yakubus, which led to the installation of the Late King Yakubu Andani as Ya-Na of Dagbon, about 28 years ago.

Dr Gomda therefore stated that failure of the Wuaku Commission and the government to investigate the conspiracy and killing of the King of Dagbon, has necessitated their call on God, to let justice prevail on behalf of the Andani clan.
