Andani family to bury Ya-Na

Tamale, Nov.3, GNA – The Andani family, one of the gates to the Dagbon skin has been commended for its decision to bury the Ya-Na, Yakubu Andani II.

“This decision has brought enormous relief to everyone in this region and the country,” Alhaji Abubakar Saddique Boniface, Northern Regional Minister said at Tamale on Thursday.

However, he did not disclose when the Ya-Na would be buried or when the decision was taken.

Alhaji Boniface announced this when he addressed Orthodox Muslims at an open air prayer at the Tamale Police Park to mark the end of the Eid-Ul-Fitr.

He said: “We must congratulate you for taking this bold decision and it is my personal prayer that the time table drawn for the burial will be followed faithfully and unconditionally so that this unfortunate episode will be put behind us.” “I also want to use this occasion to assure you that the Government and the Northern Regional Coordinating Council will do whatever is necessary to give you the assistance to carry out the programme in peace and harmony.” Alhaji Boniface added.
