An unemployed cautioned and discharged for forgery

Sekondi, Jan. 12, GNA – A Sekondi District Magistrate’s Court on Monday cautioned and discharged Justice Anthony Issah, unemployed, for forging an official document and possessing forged document.

Issah who pleaded guilty was ordered to sign a bond to be of good behaviour for two years or in default serve six months imprisonment in hard labour.

Police Sergeant Godwin Bawa, prosecuting told the court that sometime in November last year, the accused forged an appointment letter of the National Service Scheme to seek for employment. He said a duplicate of the forged letter was found in his possession after his arrest and after investigations charged with the offence.
