An educationist calls for discipline among students

Wamfie (BAR), Feb. 4, GNA – An educationist has called on students to be disciplined to achieve their potentials in society. Mrs Doris Kobbina, Headmistress of Mansen Senior High School at Wamfie in Dormaa East district, who made the call, noted that no enviable academic or professional laurel could be attained without discipline. She was addressing Parent-Teacher-Association meeting of the school at Wamfie.

Mrs Kobbina pointed out that many factors including disrespect for authority had affected performance of students in the West Africa Senior Schools Certificate Examination (WASSCE). “Even though past and present governments have evolved policies to help improve educational standards students have not taken advantage to acquire the necessary skills and values for the future,” she said. Mrs Kobbina called on teachers and parents to intensify campaign against child delinquency and indecent dressing among the youth.
