Amugi We rejects installation of Ga Dsasetse

Accra, Feb. 2, GNA – A chieftaincy dispute is brewing in Accra as the Amugi We Royal family of the Ga paramount has rejected the installation of a Ga Dsasetse by the Tetteh Quaye We, saying it as not in accordance with Ga custom.

It also said the Amugi We would install a Dsasetse. A statement signed in Accra for Nii Okai Mensah III, Head of Amugi We, said Tetteh Quaye We was not one of the four ruling houses of the Ga paramount stool – Amugi we, Tackie-Kinne we, Teiko Tsuru we and Abola Piam.

“We wish to make it clear that it is the turn of Amugi We by judgement of the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs Tribunal to provide a Dsasetse and that preparations are in progress to that effect,” the statement said.
