American volunteer presents medical items to Tepa District Hospital

Tepa (Ash), June 16, GNA – Miss Helen Chang-Chien, an American volunteer of the Experimental Learning International (ELI) based in the United States of America, has donated medical items valued at 10,000 dollars to Tepa District Hospital.

Making the presentation at Tepa at the weekend, Miss Chang-Chien said she was moved to work at the Hospital voluntarily because of the inadequate staff and the donation was to supplement the Hospital’s resources.

Receiving the items, Nana Agyemang Prempeh, Ahafo-Ano North District Chief Executive, thanked Miss Chang-Chien for her gesture and spirit of voluntarism.

He praised the young volunteer for the various services rendered at the Hospital and urged the youth in the country to copy the good example of the lady.

Dr Isaac Akuamoah Boateng, Medical Superintendent in-charge of the Hospital, commended the volunteer for her dedicated services, especially her readiness to work at the various departments when the need arose.
