American Public Health Association supports Legon

Accra, Dec. 19, GNA – The American Public Health Association on Monday donated medical books worth 20,000 dollars to the University of Ghana- Legon.

The books were for the Ghana Medical School, School of Nursing and the School of Public Health, all at the University. Dr Freddie Asinor, Manager of the Learning and Professional Development Programmes Unit, presented the books and said the Association made up of more than 55, 000 members aimed at contributing to projects that would help to improve public health care delivery in the country.

He said the books were current publications of 2005 and 2006 with contemporary information on global trends in public health delivery, and urged students to make good use of them.

Receiving the gift, Professor Clifford Tagoe, Acting Vice Chancellor of the University, thanked the Association and promised to use them for the intended purpose.
