American mission donates medical equipment to Bibiani

Bibiani (W/R), May 13, GNA- A three-member American team the Liberty Hall Full Gospel Church in Tennessee on Tuesday donated medical equipment and other items worth several millions of cedis to the Bibiani circuit of the Methodist Church and the Government Hospital.

The items included 300 pairs of reading glasses, 38 bicycles, 1,000 pairs of bathroom sandals, 100 pairs of bed sheets and anti-malaria drugs.

Pastor Walter Manley, leader of the team who handed over the items to the beneficiaries said the items were procured from contributions of church members as well as benevolent groups in the United States. The Reverend Moses K. Jackson, Superintendent Minister in-charge of the Bibiani circuit of the Church and Dr Francis Boakye Takyi, District Director of Health Services, received the items and expressed their appreciation for the donation.

Earlier, about 300 people were given free reading glasses and about 400 others were treated for various ailments in a medical outreach exercise.
