Alhaji Maulvi Mohammed Bin Salih, Ameer and Missionary in-charge of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, Ghana, has attributed problems the country is going through to indiscipline.
Indiscipline, he said, had brought moral degradation and all forms of corruption to the country.
Alhaji Maulvi Salih was speaking at the 20th Annual Western Regional Conference of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission at Takoradi.
The conference was under the theme “Obedience to Khilafat: The Key to Spiritual Development”.
Alhaji Maulvi Salih said discipline was the basic ingredient of progress and in this sense indiscipline was the greatest enemy of national and individual progress.
He appealed to Ahmadi Muslims to cultivate the moral virtue of discipline and to behave in a disciplined manner and added “let every Ahmadi Muslim say no to indiscipline, immorality and corruption for the country to make headway in development.”
Rev John Ernest Kwofie, chairman of the Western Regional Peace Council, said the Region had been relatively peaceful but this did not mean people must be complacent.
He said the people must foster peace by living harmonious with others irrespective of their religious and political backgrounds.
Osabarima Kow Ntsie 11, Omanhene of Mpohor Traditional Area, said people should place the national interest above their personal interests to enable the country to move forward.
He appealed to people to participate in communal labour to keep the environment clean.
Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim, Medical Officer in-charge of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission Hospital at Daboase, said it was important for Ahmadi Muslims to be obedient to Allah in both words and deeds.
