AME Zion Church organises awards ceremony

The African Methodist Episcopal Church (AME Zion) has awarded 20 people for their voluntary spirit and devoted work in the church and community.

The awards were presented during an annual harvest of the church on the theme: “They rejoice over the offering, for they have given freely and whole-heartedly to Lord.”

Rev James Adu Yaw, the Presiding Elder of the Akim-Akroso AME Zion Church said the awards were aimed at boosting the spirit of volunteerism of the people and to work assiduously for the development of the church and country.

Some of the awardees include Mr Agyei Owusu, Nana Oduro and Mr Hayford Otchere Danso.

Mr Danso on behalf of the awardees thanked God and the entire church members for the honour done them.
