Ambulance service goes ‘wild’ over ‘false’ ambulance accident story

The Public Relations Officer for Ghana Ambulance Service Simons Yusif Kpewura, has slammed persons who circulated ‘’false ‘’ publication that state-owned ambulance conveying victims of the Kintampo Waterfalls disaster to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital crashed and killed the driver on Tuesday March 21, 2017.

Speaking to Kwame Tutu on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, Mr. Yusif disputed the news and wondered why some individuals will circulate such negative and false news.

Although he confirmed the accident, the occupants or patients were not victims of the waterfalls, he revealed.

He also indicated that the driver did not die as reported and was admitted at the Holy Family hospital where he is currently receiving treatment. The pictures accompanying the story that went viral he added was also not the ambulance which was involved in the accident.

He revealed, the ambulance is currently on location at the Kintampo Government Hospital. He said, the occupants on board the ambulance, and the team of emergency personnel are all safe with the patients currently on admission at the Komfo Anokye Hospital.

The story was false. It was fabricated by some faceless individuals who had their own ill motivates, he noted.
