Ambulance accident not linked to Kintampo disaster – Kintampo Hospital

Authorities of the Kintampo Government Hospital have confirmed to mynewsgh.com of an accident involving an ambulance with the registration number GV 375-12 at Dwenewoho a farming community between Kintampo and Techiman leading to the death of the driver.

According to authorities, the ambulance was indeed on its way to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi with a patient before the incident occurred.

Dr Garvin Apio , Medical Superintendent Kintampo Government Hospital said the latest accident has no bearing with the waterfalls incident.

Eyewitnesses told mynewsgh.com that the accident occurred Tuesday morning around 4am.

According to them, the Ambulance driver attempted to overtake a vehicle in front of him but unfortunately hit a stationary vehicle in front and another vehicle behind smashed the ambulance against the stationary car.

Patients in the Ambulance who were not affected were immediately conveyed in another vehicle to their destination.
