Amansie West schools celebrate C’wealth Day

Manso-Nkwanta (Ash), March 25, GNA – The Amansie West District Directorate of the Ghana Education Service has organised a quiz competition for three senior secondary schools in the area as part of activities to mark Commonwealth Day.

The participating schools were Esaase-Bontefufuo Secondary/Technical, Mansoman Secondary and Manso-Adubia Secondary/Technical.

Bontefufuo won the competition with 46 points and received as its prize a trophy and certificate.

Mansoman took the second position with 44 points whilst Manso-Adubia placed last with 33 points. Addressing the students at the end of the competition, Mrs Beatrice Prempeh, the District Director of Education, advised them to study hard and avoid acts of indiscipline.

She said it was by doing this that they could get to the top of the education ladder.

Mrs Prempeh cautioned them against pre-marital sex so that they do not contract HIV/AIDS.
